Thrifted outfit of the day

I know this is horrible. lighting But I gotta work with what I got...Lol. so I'm a BIG thrift shopper...pretty much everything I wear is thrifted so I thought I'd share it with you all on my blog:)

Let's start with the necklace. This is one of my fave. necklaces...I like jewelry that has meaning and this price does:) its from Forever 21 and it was about $3.99

Now the top! This is actually a kids size 16 dress;) I saw it and fell in love with it because of a few reasons. 1.it's yellow(one of my fave colors)

2.it seems to have a vintage feel to it that I really like about it

3. Lastly it's different and I didn't think anyone else would have it...Well maybe a 10 year old girl...lol

I got this shirt as part of a bag sale at a rummage in winnetka IL. The sale was everything you fit in a bag for 5 dollars so I went a lil crazy...Lol But this was one of picks:)

These are one of my fave Earrrings...this was also a rummage sale buy for a whooping 1.99!

These skinny jeans were a after christmas sale. I got these at forever 21 for $7.50...I had I have every color: )

Finally... the boots. I can't remeber where I got them from But I know I only paid $20 for them...Well that's it! My thrifted outfit of the day! Happy new year everyone! 

A day in the life

     Today was a lazy day...after all I am still on Christmas vacation . However, im vacating a little more then planned...my car has been in the shop since friday....so ive kinda been stuck in the house for a few days. I will admit...im dying of boredom!!
     But I'll give you a play by play of my day anyway. I laid in bed till about 11am. I of course checked my twitter, fb, and instagram and checked in on the blogs I follow. I'm  Big on my social media...Lol. After that it was time for some cleaning... Aagh!
                          KITCHEN
     Today's project was the kitchen! No matter what  I do I can not seem to get my kitchen stove clean. I decided to hit the net for some help! Click the link to check it out STOVE
It was a baking soda and vinegar mixture.  It got the stove clean But it was quite the mess, I had baking soda everywhere!  Not sure if I'll use this method again.
     Next up was the microwave!  Another thing that's seems to stay dirty... smh But I did however find a good cleaning. Method for that...it worked perfectly.... I'll definitely be doing this again. MICROWAVE it was quick and easy
    

Finally was the fridge,nothing special with that...just good old fashion soap and water for that, I just had a couple spills to clean.
                       LAUNDRY
If  I had to pick one chore as my favorite it would no doubt be washing clothes. Its just so relaxing me to...the smell of fabric softener drifting through the house, I just love it! But as I was surfing the net I found out away to make your own Dryer Sheets with spounges!! Do you know how much money i could save!? I can't wait to try this!!

DINNER

I tried something I had Never tried before...smothered pork chops. To be perfectly honest with you I have never even tasted smothered pork chops before, so I had no idea what they were supposed to taste like, not to mention...I don't like gravy:/ But because. I was bored I thought. I'd try it anyway *shrug*  I learned. How to make gravy from onions, water and flour...I thought that was pretty cool;) I think they came out pretty good...not bad Nita...not bad at all;)

 

RELAX

finally I ended my night with a scary movie...idk when it happened But I actually love scary movies...I was not always like that...I was afraid of my shadow.. lol the movie of choice tonight comes from HULU...it was called       "The Ouija Experiment "

It was OK...super bad actors in my opinion...and I didn't think it was all that scary But I watched the entire movie anyway.

Christmas is finally over

This is just a quick little post! Christmas. Was great. We didn't do much. Just Sat in the house and relaxed. All day. I'm glad it's over and I hope everyone had a good Christmas. As well🎅🎄

Christmas House Tour 2014

Tis the season!  I absolutely love looking at how people decorate their homes for Christmas.  So I thought I'd post how I decorated my house:) so....here goes!

Let's start with the tree...I kept it pretty basic. But it's pretty big...about 7 feet! I love it:)

I I don't have any fancy ornaments this year. Just basic red and gold and candy canes of course:)

This is my kitchen table decor. I used one of my flower vases and I put mini Christmas ornaments in it to hold up my pretty Christmas flowers.

My daughter saw these oven mittens in the dollar store and just had to have them...lol they don't match a thing in the house but hey...you gotta pick your battles...lol she won that one. They are pretty cute so I cool with it!

I I didn't get many Christmas cards this year:( but these are the ones I got so far. Look at my nephew. ..isn't he handsome!? I also, put up Gabrielle's kindergarten pics...I love those two! ♡♡♡

ABOUT ME!!!

     Hey everyone, I'm nita! I'm new to the blog world to a sense. Meaning I have regular blogs that I read every day but I myself have never blogged anything before. I just never thought I'd have the time to stay on top of it.

     With that being said, let me tell you a little about myself. I'm a mother first to a beautiful 5 year girl named Gabrielle Aniya...I'm sure you will see lots of pics of her;) I'm very artsy, I went to Columbia College in Chicago for theater and dance. So I'm a tad bit dramatic. ..lol I'm also a professional model.

     I'm currently working for a company named Aramark,  which we can get into later. I am in a relationship and have just recently moved into a new house...so that's an adventure all by itself. ..smh. it's very very hard to keep a house clean!

     So I think that's about everything for now. I stay pretty busy.  So I really hope I have the time to stay on top of my blog. On my blog you will read about motherhood,  fashion, make-up, the entertainment industry, My 9-5, my relationship. ..in a nut shell...it's
